In a trademark dilution and infringement case, Nissan Motor requested a preliminary injunction blocking Nissan Computer from placing advertisements and links on its nissan.com and nissan.net websites and requiring a disclaimer and link to Nissan Motor's website. In the alternative, Nissan Motor sought to restrain Nissan Computer from using the websites. Although the court refused to bar Nissan Computer from using its website, Nissan Computer was enjoined from displaying automobile information and required to display a caption disassociating itself with Nissan Motor.
