District court ordered that defendant's registration of worldsports.com be revoked, and also ordered that NSI not allow anyone to register a similar name. NSI is challenging the latter portion of the order, on the grounds that it does not have the resources to evaluate every requested domain name for possible similarity to a registered mark and that making such judgments would expose it to liability. The court modified its order April 27, 1999, requiring that NSI cease cooperating in infringement of the mark by the defendant, effectively requiring that NSI screen applications by the defendant, but not all applications. The court reasserted its authority over NSI as a party, albeit innocent, to the infringement. NSI again sought modification, based on belief that even revised order would require change in screening procedures. The court stayed its order May 14, 1999 at NSI's request.
